How to Install Your New Stove Knobs.

Step by step

  1. Pull off the old knob

    With every burner OFF and the cooktop cool, pull your old knob straight off to reveal the shaft.

  2. Pick the adapter that fits

    There are 5 adapter sizes in the box, including 9mm. Find the one that fits your shaft snugly. Most adapters go on with the longer end facing out, so it slides up inside the knob.

  3. Line up the flat spots

    Line up the flat spot on the adapter with the flat spot on the shaft, and push the adapter onto the shaft.

  4. Choose your indicator color

    Every knob comes with black, gray, and red indicators. Put yours on now or later, it's up to you.

  5. Line up with OFF and push on

    Line the indicator up with the OFF position, push the knob on, and set it to the right depth. Repeat for the rest.

Tip: If the adapter doesn't slide on easily, don't force it. Turn it until the flat spots line up, or try the next size.
